Ok, here something I’ve been wanting to start, a series of “breaking the engineering mind.” As I have been pushing a lot of my closer friends into the deep end of my psyche I find that, much like myself over a year ago, I have to breakdown the somebody training, logical predispositions and biases that have made us all what we are in society and allow enough open mind to take in the shit I have been experiencing without instantly shutting down possibilities. This won’t be the depth of deconstruction with a peer review that scientific publishing requires, but I’ll illustrate my thought processes explained in crayons as I do to myself.
In my work over the past year, I’ve found that I have to pick up my own historic thoughts and beliefs which I’ve utterly ignored and passed off as bullshit. Doing this I’ve discovered a deep rooted hatred toward fashionable, and I’m completely ignorant and dismissive of anything I deem as such. What a perfect place to start.
Here are some quotes to help lubricate our flow.
Einstein : “The supreme task of the physicist is to arrive at those universal elementary laws from which the cosmos can be built up by pure deduction. There is no logical path to these laws; only intuition, resting on sympathetic understanding of experience, can reach them.”
Tesla : “But instinct is something which transcends knowledge. We have, undoubtedly, certain finer fibers that enable us to perceive truths when logical deduction, or any other willful effort of the brain, is futile.”
Campbell : “Your belief systems limit your reality to a sub-set of the solution space that does not contain the answer”
Crystals, Rocks and their powers.
There, I said it. I still cringe, kid me through adult me, that randomly picks up cool rocks and takes them home. Fucking ridiculous belief or not? Let’s try a little proof I often ponder that would fall under the category of commercialized White Bitch Shit that I have historically dismissed.
Skeptic : Rocks can’t heal.
Agnostic : Can rocks hurt?
Skeptic : If you smash me on the head with them.
Agnostic : Let’s take the physical density nature of the rock and me swinging it at you off the table. The rock is in a static equilibrium state on a table. Can the energy of a rock heal you?
Skeptic : No.
Agnostic : Can the energy of a rock hurt you?
Skeptic : No.
Agnostic : What about a rock of Uranium?
Skeptic : Well.
Agnostic : Does a rock containing Uranium have an energy to them even in a static equilibrium state?
Skeptic : Yes, I suppose.
Agnostic : Do you believe that Newton’s third law applies to more than moving objects, like thermodynamics etc? Do believe that Einstein’s E=mc2 or the theory of energy balance holds water?
Skeptic : Yes
Agnostic : Well then in a closed system, which we are likely in, wouldn’t it be plausible that if there are rocks that can kill you, like uranium ore, that they are rocks that could heal you?
Skeptic : Fuck.
In the words of the Mythbusters…

Now, do I believe holding a crystal will instantly heal me? No; but something might if we live in a self equalizing system. Are there a lot of holes in my mind created example? Absofuckinglutely, but we’ve now created a crack in the reality and my belief system that merits some looking at, independent from the fashionability of it in today’s society.
Hmmmm, not rocks, but who said balance had to come from the same type of matter form? https://www.acs.org/pressroom/presspacs/2011/acs-presspac-may-4-2011/natural-protection-against-radiation.html
Takeaway : Slowly pick away at all of your belief systems. Tear them apart, come to your own conclusions, discover for yourself what you believe is real or not, not always through reason as some of the greatest scientific minds in the modern era have also reinforced.
